Ep 20: The Amityville Horror

This time we’re looking at the subject of a 1977 book, and a 1979 film which has spawned a franchise of dozens of movies including one released as recently as 2024 and one of the most infamous haunted houses in history. It is 112 Ocean Avenue, better known as the Amityville Horror House.
Today, the story of what really happened at 112 Ocean Avenue is buried under layers of myth, rumour and controversy. Another famous haunting, this one with a shocking backstory. Another case where I thought I knew it all but there are some twists in this strange tale! Let’s Get Weird.

The grand daddy of them all! I thought seeing as every major UFO case is somewhere’s Roswell I’d better look at the original!
Did a UFO crash near Roswell, New Mexico in the summer of 1947 or was the excuse for the ages true and the whole thing nothing more than a weather balloon?

Ep 11: Operation Gladio

2nd August 1980. The waiting room at Bologna train station is packed, but the hundreds of passengers amassed there are about to have their thoughts of travel plans, dinner arrangements and daily worries scattered to the four winds, because in a moment, a huge explosion will rip through the station.
Sadly, it just the latest in a series of attacks that will work in favour of the right-wing leadership, drawing the left-leaning public into the arms and protection of their government. 
A smart-but-cynical government who are using a disaster for political gain, using the old adage of not letting a crisis go to waste? Not quite. It’s much, much worse than that. So bad it’s almost unbelievable.
